Stay Sane in the Mundane

Closed doors...

I’m writing because during this crazy time, when everything is turned upside down and inside out, it is easy to go in a downward spiral.  The first week of the Covid 19 shutdowns, I was so sad.  There were so many cancelled plans.  Now, I am trying to stay positive, along with you.  So, I would like to share some tips that have helped me stay sane in the mundane of staying home.  I would like to hear from you, so we can encourage each other on this journey.

Yes, I’ve been home schooling for 12 years.  My oldest two “kids”(young men) are graduating this year; I have a 9th and 3rd grader, and I am starting a kindergartener next year.  That thought in itself is enough to take me over the edge.  However, God has been faithful and has given me grace to make it through each day, and He gives me courage to continue.  I also have a husband that is very supportive and gives me a pep talk, when I’m crying.

So, over the next few days, I would like to give some ideas for those of you who are starting on this journey of being stuck at home.  May God give each of us grace for each moment, and courage to be a light and show love.  May God help us stay sane in the mundane!
