Welcome back to my blog! Yes, I haven't written in so long.
Almost every day, I feel inspired to write, but it just doesn't happen. This year, I would like to pass along ideas for good books, whole real food recipes, new songs, and anything else that may be encouraging to you. We can be a community even if we are not able to see each other often. So, please pass along any of your ideas, recipes, and comments, too.
To begin, I want to recommend the classic book The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis (Dover Thrift Edition). It is a small, but life-changing book.
Here is a short excerpt:
"'He who follows Me, walks not in darkness,' says the Lord. (John 8:12) By these words of Christ we are advised to imitate His life and habits, if we wish to be truly enlightened and free from all blindness of heart. Let our chief effort, therefore, be to study the life of Jesus Christ."
You can order it from Amazon for only a few dollars or you may want to listen to it as an audiobook, as my husband did. I also have two copies, if you want to borrow it (and live nearby).
